Today I was creating a new, exclusive hand-stamped card for my Hassle-Free Cards subscribers. I pulled out my Many Marvelous Markers to color in the stamped images.
Having all of the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers stored in one handy case is wonderful. You can have all of the color selections at your fingertips. Use the colored caps to easily find and coordinate colors.
When making my Hassle Free Card today, I had decided on the four colors of card stock I would use for my card: Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. I pulled all of those colors, with the exception of Whisper White, out of my Many Marvelous Markers box.
Whisper White could not be pulled out of the marker box because there isn't a Whisper White Stampin' Write Marker. Or Very Vanilla for that matter. The reason is the Stampin' Write Markers are dye ink and white or vanilla dye ink would not show up on colored card stock.
Anyway, choosing the other colors I wanted to use was easy because I could so easily see all my choices. Soft Suede and Basic Gray were added to others.
All of the core Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers, Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles all fit into the Many Marvelous Markers case. There are 40 core colors but only 38 Stampin' Write Markers. Remember, there isn't a Whisper White or Very Vanilla marker.
Great, but what will you do with the 10 empty slots? You'll love this – the current In Colors, 5 in each of the two current In Color Collections, fit in the remaining slots. You truly have all the current colors in one place!
As much as I love having all of the Stampin' Write Markers together in one case, should you purchase the Many Marvelous Markers too? It depends. Can you swing the $109.95 price tag to purchase all 38 core Stampin' Up! colors at once? If so, this would be my recommendation.
Let me give you the reasons why the most economical way to own all of the Stampin' Write Markers is with the Many Marvelous Markers.
- At $109.95 for all 38 Stampin' Write Markers, that makes the each marker only $2.89 instead of $3.50 when purchased individually.
- The only way to get the Many Marvelous Markers storage case is with the purchase of the Many Marvelous Markers. That is a $20 value!
The second less expensive per marker choice is to purchase a complete Stampin' Up! Collection at one time. You can purchase the Brights, Regals or Subtles Collections for $28.95 each and the Neutrals Collection for $22.95 (remember there are two less markers in this collection).
When purchasing a Collection, the price each is from $2.86 to $2.90 each. A Collection does include a storage case. Not the Many Marvelous Markers case, but a case for each Collection.
If you purchased all four core color Collections and the two In Color Collections, you would be working between six different boxes. I recommend keeping them in their perspective boxes so you can easily find a color later.
The third way to purchase the Stampin' Write Markers is individually. You will not get any cases, but you can pick up your favorite colors one or two at a time. Eventually you will find yourself owning every one of them. Even though the price per marker is more with this option, currently $3.50 each, if you need to be careful with your spending, this might be your best option.
