My elegant square card uses more FREE Sale-a-bration products too! I have been having a ball with all the FREE Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and FREE Everyday Enchantment Ribbon/Brad Pack.
Let's start with the FREE Elementary Elegance stamp set.
The flourish frame stamp was stamped with Peach Parfait Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock. The color coordinates with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper pattern used on this card.
After stamping, I tore the card stock around the stamped image. I then layered it onto a piece of Soft Suede Card Stock. Don't the Peach Parfait & Soft Suede colors coordinate nicely?
Then I used the distressing tool from the Cutter Kit to distress the Soft Suede Card Stock edges. The distressed edges allowed me to keep the square defined but also allowed me to incorporate the shabby chic look of the torn card stock. Best of both worlds!
You can't help but notice the adorable butterfly brad. Just love those brads! It is part of the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon/Brad Pack. I know crowns are apparently "in", but they don't do anything for me. My pretty butterfly covered up most of it. The butterfly is framed with the crown on each side.
Keeping with the shabby chic look, I used the Color Spritzer Tool with a Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker to add some fine splattered ink to the stamped Very Vanilla Card Stock. This coordinates beautifully with darkened edges of the Everyday Enchantment background paper and also kept my Very Vanilla Card Stock from looking so stark against the other muted colors.
With dark card stock colors, I layer a coordinating light neutral color to the inside of the card for the sentiment and signature. Keeping the shabby chic theme even to the inside of my card, I torn the edges of the Very Vanilla Card Stock and sponged it with Soft Suede Classic Ink.
