Someone issued a color challenge . . .

. . . that was me on my Stamping Smiles Page on Facebook. 🙂 The five color combination challenge was Elegant Eggplant, Strawberry Slush, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette. After issuing the color challenge, pulled out all the colors and got busy. The handmade Floral Fusion Sizzlits card you see is what I came up with. Now that I am seeing it again, I really do need to make some more. Pretty, yet easy to make. A combination you just have to love.

A 2-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ card stock piece of each of Pink Pirouette, Strawberry Slush and Elegant Eggplant was all that was need for the three flowers. Each flower used one of the three on the Floral Fusion Sizzlits Die. The greenery is from the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die in our challenge color Always Artichoke.

My favorite of the three flowers is the lower one with the colors starting with the lightest to the darkest. At least I think it is. As I keep looking at the flowers, I’m having a hard time deciding if that’s truly the case. Do you have a favorite. Would have done them all the same? Or do you like the coordinating but not the same?

The center of each flower is a Large Basic Pearl Jewel. Really like that added touch. They’re as easy to use as they are pretty. The half pearls are self adhesive. Just lift off the sheet and stick in place. Lift and stick.

Speaking of touches, for our girly card, a little ruffle is always nice. The ruffled ribbon along the bottom of the banner was already ruffled for me. It is the Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim. Thank goodness. Because if it were up to me to brandish a needle and thread, I doubt you’d ever see any ruffled ribbon.
