Would love to line your envelopes with coordinated Designer Series Paper if you could learn how to make envelope liners inexpensively? Shown to the left is my Stampin’ Up! Big News card shared late last week with a beautifully coordinated lined envelope. It’s a thing of beauty. But, probably like you, love the look but balked at using the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies too often with the need to use a 5-1/2″ x 6″ piece of Designer Paper for a medium envelope. That would give us 4 medium envelope liners out of 12″ x 12″ pack of designer paper.
What if I could show you how to double that? Eight beautifully coordinated, lined medium envelopes instead of four? Like that? Thought you would. 🙂
Here’s the idea that had been simmering. After another conversation with one of my stampers (Hi Gail!), it was time to try it. I trimmed my Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper into a 6″ x 3″ piece and a piece of 24 pound copy paper to 6″ x 5-1/2″. Lined them up together and die-cut with the Stampin’ Up! Envelopes Liner Framelits die for medium envelopes in my Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.
With the Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper adhered to the copy paper with SNAIL Adhesive, we have a full envelope liner to slide into our envelope.
Why I didn’t try this sooner is because I was concerned you’d see the pattern through the envelope. Even though I chose virtually the darkest color possible, with the copy paper not a smidge of color showed through to the front. A little bit of color did through the back of the envelope but no where close from showing beneath the closed flap.
Now that you know a much more inexpensively way to have beautifully lined envelopes, order your Stampin’ Up! Envelopes Liner Framelits Dies now in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com! Oh, and don’t forget to get some Designer Series Paper too!

Stamping Smiles,
Gail told me she wished the 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ Designer Series Paper Stacks, such as All Abloom, were large enough pieces for the Envelope Liners Framelits. Now you and she know how you can easily and inexpensively make your own envelope liners with Designer Series Paper!
