The new Precision Base Plate for our Big Shot Die-Cutting Machines is advertised to die-cut through the intricate Thinlits Dies for a cleaner die-cut. Even though I wasn’t sure what to expect, the more I play with it, the more I like it!
I must admit I thought it meant the bits and pieces would just fall out. That didn’t happen. Although, the do push out much easier with a Paper-Piercing Tool and easily roll out using the Spellbinders Tool ‘n One.
More important is the die-cut is much cleaner and is is much easier to remove without tearing.
Another feature you will really like is when using the Precision Base Plate you don’t use a Cutting Pad on the bottom. That will extend the life of our cutting pads by not cutting into them and having them warp. The metal plate doesn’t have a smidgen of warping.
