Every autumn the landscape is colored in gorgeous oranges, reds, yellows as the trees get ready for winter. If you’re like me, the first thought when look at the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves Stamp Set (retiring) is fall cards. With a change of colors, you can use it for much more!
Blue leaves are not the norm, but they are simply gorgeous in Soft Sky, Island Indigo and Chocolate Chip. All three colors are retiring.
The Watercolor Wash Stamp (retiring) in Soft Sky Classic Stampin’ Pad ink was used to create a background for each of the three leaf stamps.
The maple leaf was stamped with Island Indigo Classic Stampin’ Pad ink then sponged here and there with Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The other two leaves were stamped on the Watercolor Wash background with Chocolate Chip ink. Each was then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Leaflets Framelits Dies (retiring). The dies give a professional cut and save us a lot of time and fussing.
The Watercolor Wash Stamp was also used to add texture to the Chocolate Chip Lots of Labels (retiring) die-cut and Soft Sky Cardstock piece.
With Sympathy was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White Cardstock and tucked under the maple leaf stem. With Sympathy is from the retiring Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. Any of the stamps from the set would fit there too. Teeny Tiny Wishes has a stamp for virtually every holiday and occasion you can think of and perfect when there’s just enough room for a small greeting.
All the stamps, dies, ribbon, ink colors and cardstock (except Whisper White) used to make my Vintage Leaves card are retiring! The supplies are listed below.
