Winter birthdays deserve cards that feel just as special as the season! For this handmade winter birthday card, I used the same beautiful snowflake edge die from my recent Stampin’ Up! Frozen Edges video demonstration, but with a unique twist. Instead of the shimmering gold from the Christmas card, I went for a softer, snowy look that lets the winter scene background shine.

This handmade card combines layers of intricate snowflakes in white with a bold “Birthday Wishes” sentiment in red, creating a striking contrast against the peaceful, wintry scene. The textured snowflakes and subtle metallic accents (Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls) add dimension, making this card a perfect blend of elegance and warmth for any winter birthday celebration.

Supplies and Steps for Creating this Winter Birthday Card

Background: The winter scene paper sets the tone for a serene, frosty look.
Snowflake Edge Die: Cut from white cardstock, this snowflake layer adds that magical touch. This same die was featured in my recent DIY Christmas card but takes on a fresh vibe in this design.
Sentiment: The bold red “Birthday Wishes” sentiment (Everyday Greetings Stamp Set) creates a festive pop of color, making the message stand out beautifully.
Finishing Touches: Small metallic pearls add a touch of shimmer without overpowering the overall design.
