If you’ve been following along with my Stampin’ Up! Linked Together card tutorial, welcome back! Today, we’ll finish putting together this striking design, step by step, with the help of some clever tools and techniques.

When we left off, I had already stenciled the first pattern using one of the Decorative Masks. In this post, I’ll show you how layering a second mask, some careful die-cut placement and Sticky Dots make all the difference.

Step 1: Adding the Second Mask Layer

In the first image, you can see how the second Decorative Mask design looks once applied in Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. This step creates dimension and contrast, bringing the background to life.

💡 Tip: When layering mask designs, you can move seamlessly from one Decorative Mask to the next without waiting for the ink to dry when using Classic Stampin’ Pads. However, if you’re using pigment ink, like the White Craft Stampin’ Pad, allow the ink to dry fully to prevent smudges.

Step 2: Prepping Your Die-Cuts

Here’s where the Sticky Dots come in handy! These make adhering delicate die-cut images so much easier. I placed the die-cuts on a sheet of Sticky Dots, giving them even coverage and avoiding the mess of liquid glue.

Step 3: Placing the Die-Cuts

The next two images show how I arranged the die-cut pieces to complement the stenciled background. Each piece was carefully positioned to balance the design.

💡 Tip: Lay out your die-cuts before adhering them. It’s the best way to visualize the final design and make adjustments.

Step 4: Assembling the Final Card

After placing the die-cuts, I adhered them to the card base, completing this Linked Together masterpiece! The layered stenciling and intricate die-cuts create a polished, dimensional look that’s sure to impress.
