When the air turns crisp and the leaves start to fall, nothing feels more fitting than creating a handmade card filled with autumn warmth. Today’s project captures that seasonal beauty with richly embossed leaves, glowing metallics, and a sentiment that shines as much as the season itself.

The large leafy background you see is the Etched Autumn Stamp, part of the Stampin’ Up!® Online Exclusives. Stamped once, it covers the entire card front in a tapestry of fall foliage. To make it gleam, I heat embossed it with the copper powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder collection. That design was layered onto the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper in copper and gold, which makes the embossing practically dance in the light.

For the sentiment, I turned to the Amber Autumn Bundle from the September–December 2025 Mini Catalog. The graceful “Autumn Wishes” greeting was embossed onto vellum and cut with one of the coordinating dies, giving it a soft overlay effect that allows the leafy background to peek through. Behind the sentiment, a narrow strip of Early Espresso Cardstock anchors the design, and that same dark cardstock serves as the card base for an elegant, finished frame.

No autumn card is complete without accents, and this one has a few touches that bring it all together. A bow made from the Gold Striped 3/8″ Mesh Ribbon is tied on the left, layered with a pair of gold die-cut oak leaves for a natural cluster. Scattered across the embossed background are Low Profile Dots in gold—tiny details that echo the shine of the foil and keep the eye moving across the card.
