Handmade Halloween card featuring a bear in a crown and fairy wings, die-cut bats, and candy-themed Designer Series Paper with the greeting ‘Spooky’

Halloween crafting is always more fun when you can mix playful details with a touch of the unexpected! For today’s project, I started with the Spooky Sweet Specialty Designer Series Paper and couldn’t resist using one of the included die-cut images. That sweet bear in costume instantly set the tone for this “Spooky” card.

From there, I layered patterned papers for color and texture, added a fence accent, and finished with the Spooky Halloween Stamp Set greeting. The bats, candy pieces, and sparkly stars made this card feel whimsical—just the kind of Halloween fun that puts a smile on your face.

What I especially love about this project is how it evolved. The original sample on the Stampin’ Up!® website didn’t include additional focal points, but adding them took the card in a new direction. In fact, this very layout inspired my Peace on Earth card using the dove—proof that when we bring our own creativity to the table, new ideas can unfold in delightful ways.
