Home for Christmas stamp set was in the Holiday Mini Catalog last year. I was thrilled when it was included in the Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. If you missed purchasing it while it was in the mini catalog, you can purchase it now!
I just love how this card turned out. While it is begging to be watercolored, I knew if I did it would be fabulous but not fast. One must deliver on what was promised. After all, my class was Christmas in July Fast & Fabulous.
The front of the house rubber stamp was stamped in Chocolate Chip on Kraft card stock. The Kraft card stock is a die-cut from the Sizzix exclusive Stampin' Up! Bigz Top Note.
And, lots of sponging. The sponging added to the old time feel of the stamp image. Not only did I sponge around the edges of the Top Note Sizzix die-cut, but also around the edges of the Real Red card stock and the Red Gingham Ribbon. The white of the ribbon was just too white when compared to the rest of the card. The gingham ribbon added to the old time feel though.
The Sizzix Top Note Bigz Die gave this card that "little something extra" I often refer to. But, in order to use the Top Note Die you also need the Sizzix Big Shot.
