A friend/downline suggested I use her just arrived Beautiful Butterflies Sizzix Bigz Die for some scrapbook pages. Well, she did not have to offer twice. I got so excited I almost hyperventilated at just the thought. Not that I am at all excitable. :)
Well, as pretty as it looked in the Idea Book & Catalog, it is even better in person. One crank through my Big Shot and I was in love and could not order one fast enough for myself!
So I am sharing with you my first project with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. I am very pleased with the simple, yet elegant, scrapbook pages. I could hardly wait for my scrapbook students to see what they were getting to make.
My butterflies are die-cut in Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, So Saffron, Barely Banana and Tea Party Designer Series Paper. The body of the larger butterflies is a very narrow strip of Basic Gray card stock. To get such thin strips, I used my much loved and used Tabletop Paper Cutter. You can trim just the tiniest smidge off of a sheet of card stock or paper.
My grass is from the Inspired by Nature stamp set (Item #111656 $23.95) and stamped with Certainly Celery ink on Certainly Celery card stock. My vapor trail title is stamped in Basic Gray with the Contempo Alphabet (Item #111570 $43.95).
