Lovely as a Tree is so appropriately named – lovely.  This stamp set is timeless.  It has been with us for a long time, and as far as I am concerned, Stampin' Up! can add a new category just for this stamp set:  eternal!

My January 8-1/2" x 11" calendar page was quite easy to stamp.  I started with stamping my three pine trees in Whisper White Craft Ink and then embossing in White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Ballet Blue Card Stock.

The next step was to fill in the spaces between my three embossed trees.  I simply stamped the same tree over and over in Whisper White Craft Ink, letting some trees overlap.  The stamped-only trees are much lighter.  This gives the illusion of depth.  The embossed trees look closer in their white brilliance.

My falling snow is Whisper White Craft Ink with one of the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamps.  As one fellow stamper said, "Itty Bitty Backgrounds isn't a stamp set, it is a must have accessory."   Every stamp room needs Itty Bitty Backgrounds!

My snow bank was easily cut with the rotary blade in the Cutter Kit.  View a video tutorial I made using the four tools in the Cutter Kit by clicking here.

The unmatched splendor of the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter was then added to my snow bank and embossed pine trees with the 2-Way Glue.  Wow!  The page went from pretty to pretty spectacular with that little addition.

I searched the internet for winter sayings.  Golly, most were very depressing.  I thought more about my page and the searched for snow sayings.  I love the one I found.  It reads:  Kindness is like snow – it beautifies everything it covers.  I typed it to fit into the 1-3/4" Circle Punch for my moon.

For my stampers that will be turning the calendar pages into scrapbook pages, I did not have them add the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter because glitter is not safe for scrapbook pages.
