Do you have any new baby stamp sets? No matter how young or old you are, there is always someone you know who is having a baby. Having a stamp set on hand to be ready to make a birthday card is something all card makers should have on hand.
All in the Family Stampin' Up! stamp set is great for baby cards and so much more! Isn't it great to have a versatile stamp set? The images are pictured further down in the post.
My new baby card is fast, yet fabulous. What new mom wouldn't say "awww" when she got this card?
The embossed polka dot bottom of the card added texture and dressed the simple card up a bit. I just cannot get enough of my Sizzix Big Shot! Adding texture or a die-cut is so fast and easy. In this busy world, fast & fabulous is a must!
Speaking of fast, having a nice assortment of punches on hand is also a great time saver. My baby card uses four different punches. That is not at all unusual. On this card, I especially liked how using the Scallop Trim Border Punch coordinated with the Scallop Circle Punch and gave a decorative edge to an otherwise blunt layer.
As in any trade, having the proper tools are important to a job well done. That our "work" is fun is completely beside the point.
Oh, in a post a week or so ago I wondered what I was going to do without my Blush Blossom for flesh tones. No worries! Stampin' Up! will continue to carry the Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker. Yeah!
My card stock sizes and colors are
Barely Banana (retiring): 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scrap piece for punching 1-3/8" circle
