But, would it not be a treasure to have a book that is a gift from a teen, with questions for him or her answered and written in the book & questions for the mother to then answer and one day return to the teen? This is a gift to be treasured for generations!
That is exactly what you seen in the pictures, the handmade Mom & Me Personal Journals. The woman at church who teaches the teenagers wanted such a book. We came up with 10 questions for both and a personal profile to be filled in by each. I made the format for the questions, printed and bound the books with my Rubicoil binding machine.
The teens are now decorating their books with card stock, stamp sets, punches and die-cuts from my Big Shot Sizzix and having a ball. I will get some pictures of pages they have not yet answered any questions. After all, the answers are for them and their mothers.
The Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper was used to cover the books. I love that paper! But, without a doubt, because it has Orchid Opulence as one of the colors, it will be retired as of June 30, 2010.
The pages were printed on Whisper White card stock. No scrimping and using the cheap stuff. We need good card stock for more than one reason: (1) nothing but the best for our moms (2) high quality card stock is a must for great stamped images (3) we are used to quality and will not settle for less.
