Do you love great scents? I love to have scented candles burning, feel incredibly spoiled with a great scented soap, open a drawer or closet to be greeted with a pleasant scent, slip into scented sheets, and a enjoy the lingering scent of a fragrant room spray.
Looking through the Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog for class ideas, the pretty Dotted Delicates Rub-Ons caught my eye. While I do love making cards, I saw so much more potential for the rub-ons than cards.
The Dotted Delicates Rub-Ons are so pretty and elegant, I started thinking of different items I could use them on. Loaded with idea, I went shopping!
My first stop was in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog for the Mini Square Envelopes for my sachets, Note Cards for the gift card and card stock for my specially designed boutique gift box.
I was so excited when I found the Wild Berries Yardley soap. It smelled wonderful and was the perfect size.
The votive glass candle holders were readily available. But, not just any candle would do. The only scented candles I use are Gold Canyon candles.
Lavender buds with a touch of essence oil filled my sachets. To let the fragrance come through, I used the Paper Piercing Tool and Seeing Spots and Pick a Petal Classy Brass Templates for decorative piercing.
Learned something new while designing for this class, no matter how much you rub, you cannot rub the rub-ons onto soap. Rut-ro! The soap was the just the size I wanted and I loved the scent. Not to be deterred, I trimmed the flower rub-on and adhered it to the soap with Crystal Effects. Did you know Crystal Effects is an awesome adhesive? It has been used for many non-stamping fix jobs around our house.
All my Dotted Delicated boutique items needed a fabulous box. So, I gathered up all that needed to fit into my gift box and asked my husband to design it. He did an awesome job! Everything fits in it beautifully with room for the gift card too!
