Don't you just love getting new toys to play with? I received my Summer Mini Catalog preorder and wanted to play with everything! I did a good job getting several into my simple card: Go, Graduate stamp set, July 4th stamp set and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The theme for the my group swap, the Scattered Stampers, this month was to use one punch one time. It is so cool that most of the Stampin' Up! punches coordinate with many, many Stampin' Up! stamp sets.
The star stamp from July 4th was embossed in black on Real Red card stock. Our school colors are red and black (so striking!) It is that time of year when the graduation announcements start rolling in.
Just out of plain ol' curiosity, I wondered if I could stamp my Congratulations Graduate greeting on the front of my card, and it still be legible after I ran it through the Sizzix Big Shot with my new Square Lattice embossing folder. It is! How fun it is when you play around and learn something new.
My card stock colors and dimensions are
Basic Black: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" and 1-7/8" x 1-7/8"
Real Red: 4" x 5-1/4", 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" and scrap piece for embossing and punching
Whisper White: 4" x 5-1/4" for inside card
