Even though the Stampin' Smiles 12 Weeks of Christmas has not officially started (learn how to be part of the Stampin' Smiles 12 Weeks of Christmas below!), it might seem like it with all the Christmas cards I have posted and still have to post.
I love Christmas! And to make Christmas card sending a joy and not a chore, I gave my stamping students eight different Christmas card ideas in July. Here is another one of the eight card designs.
Last year I made a Christmas card with the Christ is Born stamp set (pictured below) for the Stampin' Smiles 12 Weeks of Christmas (cannot show it because the Christmas projects are exclusive and a promise is a promise). I received several emails from those who loved it and planned to use the design for their Christmas cards. It sure was fabulous, but it was not fast. I needed to come up with a design that was not only fast, but had to be the promised fabulous for my Christmas in July Fast & Fabulous Cards class.
While the color choice did not thrill me, the layout used in the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog did. And, that is why Stampin' Up! calls it an idea book. I took their sample, tweaked it, and ended up with a fast and fabulous Christmas card. The original card sample is on page 42.
