Water will not properly clean your stamps. My first demonstrator used water and a towel. You tend to do as you are taught. I sure was not pleased when I used a stamp cleaned with water in a light color stamp pad. The water-cleaned stamp was not clean! The dark ink left on the stamp came off into my new, light colored ink pad. Ugh.
You might think you have another way to skin that cat – baby wipes. Sorry, but baby wipes can contain alcohol or some other ingredient meant to clean messes that could dry out your stamps. You want your stamps clean and conditioned, not dry and cracked rubber.
A 2 oz. bottle of Stampin' Mist will last a long time. When you finally do run low, just purchase a refill. I have been purchasing the refills and using the same bottle for over nine years! The bottle works as well as it did the first day I used it.
Let's address the towel for drying the stamps. Again, I did as I was taught. What I couldn't figure out was where all the fibers on my stamps were coming from. I would get my stamp all inked up and then not get a full image because of a fiber clinging to my stamp. Again, ugh. Just about the time I started stamping, the CSI television series started. I quickly learned about fibers being left at the scene of the crime. Well, I certainly had a crime scene of dirty, fiber laden stamps! The Stampin' Scrub does not leave fibers on your stamps.
