Waiting for the Great Pumpkin 12" x 12" Scrapbook Page Idea with

As a child, every year did you watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”? Did or do your children too? As I was making this scrapbook page, I could picture Linus sitting in the pumpkin patch waiting patiently.

The pumpkin used as part of the title was made with the 1-3/4″ x 7/8″ (formerly named Large Oval) Large Oval Punch. It just takes three punched out ovals to make a pumpkin. You can either make a skinny pumpkin or a fat pumpkin, all depending on far you overlap the two ovals on the bottom.

Using the oval punched pieces to make a pumpkin, I pulled out my Sizzix Originals Ovals Die for the large pumpkins.

The Sizzix Originals Ovals Die has three sizes of ovals. I used all the three sizes to make the pumpkins. I loved having the large ovals for the larger project of the scrapbook page.

My pumpkin colors are Pumpkin Pie and the In Color Peach Parfait. On the Peach Parfait center ovals, I sponged around the outer edge in Pumpkin Pie Classic ink. On the Pumpkin Pie center ovals, I sponged around the outside with Cajun Craze Classic ink.

Wondering where I got my pumpkin stems? They are also a Sizzix die! The are the stems from the leaves of the Sizzix Originals Leaves #2 Die. I bet you are thinking, “she is so clever.” Ah shucks, you didn’t have to say that. Now I’m blushing.

Even the clever ones need some inspiration from time to time.
