Isn't the designer paper pretty? Along one edge of a patterned sheet of the Ice Cream Parlor is the pretty scalloped border. I really liked the Melon Mambo patterned paper on the Melon Mambo card stock card base. To cover my naked edge of designer paper, I tied 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon around the entire front of the card base.
The self-adhesive die-cuts from the Ice Cream Parlor Quick Accents are the plaid scallop circle, the flower and center of the flower. I added a 1" Circle Punch Melon Mambo circle to showcase my lighter shade of Melon Mambo flower. The 1-1/4" Circle Punch Whisper White circle served two purposes: 1) to coordinate with the Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon; it kept the ribbon from looking so stark compared to no other white added and 2) to fill in so of the large area between the 1" circle and 1-3/4" scallop circle die-cut.
Liking how the Whisper White card stock circle pulled so well from the Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, I decided to add a Scallop Circle Punch Whisper White scallop circle behind the plaid Melon Mambo die-cut. I had to offset the scallops of each piece so the white scallops would show. I could have easily also used the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. It would have been easier to layer.
