Don't you think black & white is elegant? Throw in a bit of red for a beautiful contrast. My black & white and red all over handmade card uses one stamp from the Circle Circus stamp set in the center of my paper lolly (the big red, pleated circle).
This card makes yin yang come to mind.
- Is it the symmetry?
- Or the colors?
- The block of colors?
- The Circle Circus stamp in the center?
- Or all of the above?
I first thought it looked like yin yang when I was looking at the Circle Circus stamped image in the middle of my paper lolly made with the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (Real Red).
The Circle Circus stamp was stamped with Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad on Whisper White Card Stock and punched out with the 3/4" Circle Punch. It was then layered onto an 1" Basic Black Card Stock circle using the 1" Circle Punch.
The small Real Red Brights Brad in the center was the finishing touch my paper lolly needed. It pulled the entire card together, besides being pretty.

The squares of background paper are from two different packs. The Basic Gray hexagon pattern is from the Occasions Mini Catalog Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. The printed Basic Gray on Whisper White is from the Neutrals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack. They sure look nice together. The gray print on white background allowed me to stamp right on the background paper. My birthday greeting is from the Stampin' Up! On Your Birthday stamp set.
Withe the 1/8" Real Red and Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon tied in the center, I had to use Stampin' Dimensionals to build up my adhesive for the paper lolly to fit up and over the know. Sure gives my card a lot of dimension!
