Hand stamped wedding card with Road to Happiness stamp set specially made for the mother of the groom.
Godby With Us Stamper Marsha Mendenhall asked if I would design a wedding card for her son's upcoming nuptials. After meeting her thougthful, charming sweet son and then his lovely, delightful and equally charming bride-to-be, it was an honor to be an ever so small part of this union.
And, I had the perfect stamp set – Road to Happiness! I could hardly wait to get the stamp set and was excited to play with it.
Marsha asked for a money holder card. Thankfully I still have some of the now retired Whisper White 3-1/2" x 6-/4" Open End Envelopes on hand. My finished, folded Road to Happiness wedding card size is 3" x 6-1/4".
Despite Abraham Lincoln appears to be the groom, the bride & groom in the convertible is simply irresistible! Until I took the pictures, I didn't realize the bride and groom are not just in the car but on it. Rut-ro. Not my best work, but we are going to refuse to fret and move on.
The string of cans on the back of convertible are great! My colors, Baja Breeze and So Saffron are the colors Marsha used for the wedding shower invitations and thank you cards. Uniformity puts a smile on my face.
Let's have a look inside to money/check holder card.
Hopefully Marsha has stopped by the bank to get a crisp, new bill. It certainly will look a lot better than this poor wrinkled and scribbled upon bill. Most probably wouldn't notice or care, but the crisp new bill for special occasions was learned from my parents.
Upon opening the card, the bill is held in by the flap with wedding wish of "May all your roads lead to happiness." Perfect.
My card size before the folds is 6-1/4" x 7-1/2" scored at 3" and 6". That will save you some time fooling around trying to get the measurements just right.
On the front of the card the bride and groom will be met with a rhyming greeting from the Petite Pairs stamp set. Petite Pairs stamp set for the perfect pair!
The full greeting is made up of two stamps. The two stamps give you flexibility to use them together, like I did on this card, or one outside and one inside. Options are a good thing.
Did you notice my die-cut flowers used inside and out?
And out?
In the center of each die-cut flower made with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack is the smallest of the Basic Pearl Jewels. Just the right finishing touch.
Because the card will be hand delivered, I had the rare opportunity to add the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch die-cut flowers with Basic Pearl Jewels to the envelope. Again, the continuity makes my heart happy.
