My first idea on how to use this stamp set was exactly that – handmade Christmas gift tags for one of my 12 Weeks of Christmas projects (ending on Wednesay, December 19). Turned out I had more ideas than weeks. 🙂 The fact still remained that the sizes of at least five of the stamps were perfect for making gift tags.

Imagine a silver bow on my Christmas wrapping of silver snowflakes on white paper. We are only imagining it because I learned long ago bows do not travel well in shipping boxes, and this Christmas gift is about to hit the road. Gift bows completely crushed, instead of enhancing the wrapping detract from it. So sad since I love pretty bows.

Without a bow to hide a string under so the tag could be turned over to see who the gift is intended for, an alternate plan was needed. Being the brilliant paper crafter I am (I really need to work on my modesty), Plan B was quickly formed. A little score line was all that was needed. The score line (crease) made with the Stampin’ Trimmer allows the card stock to bend neatly without crinkling. Just say no to crinkled card stock. 🙂

Plenty of room to write. Pretty is nice, but how practical pretty is even better!

For a smaller package, I chose a different ornament stamp to emboss in silver and die-cut. Still more than enough room to write the to and from information.
