25 Days of Retiring Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets: Language of Friendship

It was exciting when the Stampin' Up! Language of Friendship stamp set was first introduced. We had the Bird Builder Punch and made pretty handmade greeting cards. But, with the introduction of the Language of Friendship stamp set, we finally had detail for the bird, branch, wing and flowers. Godby (God-be) with Us Stamper DEANNA WETZ created this pretty handmade card for today's 25 Days of Retiring Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets post.

The most prominent detail you will see on the bird is the eye. The extra detail makes the bird look rather realistic. Deanna chose not to use the branch stamp for her card. The branch looks great stamped and punched out or just punched out. Before the 25 Days of Retiring Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets ends, I will have another card that uses the branch stamp.

Deanna's bird is perched on the punched branches with the embossed scallop circles behind them. The embossing was created with the also retiring Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. The swirl of lines stand out in a lighter color because the Early Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock (available starting May 31!) was lightly sanded to reveal the underlying lighter color. Rather pretty.

The Get Well greeting is from the now retired Sincere Salutations. Like that stamp? Wish you had it? It serves as a reminder to purchase any retiring stamp sets you have had your eye on while you still can.
