25 Days of Retiring Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets: Just for You from the

The Stampin’ Up! Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit has the retiring Just for You stamp making this handmade card eligible for my 25 Days of Retiring Stampin’ Up! Stamp Sets series.

Awhile ago I noticed how well the embossed paper tags included in the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit coordinate with the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper and wanted to create a handmade card. Finally made one. See it for yourself.

Isn’t that pretty? The flowers come in two colors – Pool Party and Calypso Coral. The color combination for this handmade card is Pool Party, Early Espresso with the embossed paper tag from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit and Natural Compostion Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Instead of making a flower with ten layers, I used only three for two reasons.

This card can be mailed in the Medium Very Vanilla Stampin’ Up! Envelope and not a padded envelope that would be needed with a ten layer flower.
It will stretch the number of projects you can make from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit.

While stretching the flowers to make even more handmade cards, I used a 3/16″ Early Espresso Neutrals Designer Brad. I rather like the simplicity of the small Early Espresso brad. Clean, simple.

Layers were added by die-cutting ovals with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies in the Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. You just have to love that these products coordinate so well together. Not surprising, but certainly nice to be able to so easily create attractive layers.

Adding a little touch of color along the left was created with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. The contrast against the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper is stunning and brings it all together.

The Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit is from the 2013 Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog that goes through May 31, 2013 only.
