If you love flower stamps, you must love flowers. I do. I just don’t like getting my hands dirty. But, my gardener went on strike leaving me with the dirty work that doesn’t happen with hand stamped flowers.
Master Gardener Mom did pick out some beautiful pansy plants for me. Here you see them in their containers waiting to become a beautiful addition to my flower bed.
Master Gardener Mom separated the flowers and chose the best spot for each. Then she quit! I had supervised her planting 15 or so petunias along the road. She just wasn’t falling for the “show me one more time” trick. Master Gardeners tend to be smart like that.
Master Gardener Mom told me to tease the roots. So I said, “When you were born you were so ugly that instead of slapping you, the doctor slapped your mom!” She sighed and told me to separate the roots because they were all bound up from growing in the small pot. We did it her way.
Then Master Gardener Mom told me to dunk the teased roots into the water. First we insult them and then try to drown them. Gardening is a dirty job.
Master Gardener Mom then said to be sure to plant it deep but not too deep.
Did I mention I don’t like to get dirty? Water + dirt = mud. Need I say more?
Now that the pansies are all planted, I’ll add water and go back to making hand-stamped flowers with my new Stampin’ Up! Flower Garden stamp set and (wait for it) my Pansy Punch.
