What a pleasure it is to sit and make handmade cards. Especially when using Stampin’ Up! stamps like the new Happy Day Stamp Set. Add a few of the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Oh, Hello Stamp Set and you quickly make a handmade vintage card.
While it looks like a hodge podge of stamps stuck here and there, there actually was a plan.
It started with the focal point of the medallion stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Day Stamp Set stamped in Basic Black Classic Stampin’ Pad ink but not right in the center. It was purposely placed slightly to the left. The Large Basic Pearl Jewel (self-adhesive) in the center of the medallion also helped to draw your eye to the focal point.
The 1/2″ Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon is soft, rather sheer and when gathered, it also added to the element of vintage looking handmade cards.
Naturally, we have to have our coordinating something-something inside. A nice touch. This time stamped with Perfect Plum instead of Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad ink on the front of the card.
The words were stamped in the lightest color, Smoky Slate, as a great filler for our vintage looking card.
