Leafing through the November 2012 Family Circle Magazine, this picture of a berry pie inspired a handmade card with the Stampin’ Up! Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set and coordinating Hexagon Punch.
Looking at the picture, you probably have guessed it was the colors and not the shape that caught my eye. The deep red looked like Rich Razzleberry. The lighter berries on top were closest in color to Rose Red. It is a yummy combination for a pie, but what about a card? I was not too sure I’d like it but gave it the ol’ college try anyway.
Trying to pull in the color of the crust, I started with stamping on Ivory Naturals Card Stock. Mixing Rich Razzleberry and Rose Red just was not working until I stamped the flower hexagon stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set with Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin’ Pad ink onto Regal Rose Card Stock.

The stamped and die-cut flower hexagons were then all adhered to a piece 3-3/4″ x 5″ Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and then layered again onto a Rich Razzleberry Card Stock base.
