Blue seems to be in color for Christmas cards this year, at least among the demonstrators swapping at Founder’s Circle. Here we have another Stampin’ Up! Special Season Stamp Set card with the Christmas tree stamped in blue. Blue is very pretty with silver, with the Silver Glimmer Paper the popular choice this year. The glittery shine is eye catching.
The artist made her handmade Christmas card into a window card by die-cutting a hole into the center of the front of card with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies.
Covering the window is the beautiful script of “Christmas” and print of “Blessings” from the More Merry Messages Stamp Set surrounded by the glitter of silver.
When you open the Christmas window card, you find the blue Christmas tree stamped on the inside. I thought this was a brilliant design if you do not want to write more than a signature. Sure would cut down on the time we spend writing a special note to everyone.
My girlfriend stopped by and was admiring the Christmas card. Her comment was she put the Christmas card on the wrong side. Really liked her idea to adhere the tree card stock piece to the back of the card front. Doing so would still give you the recessed look while covering the hole when opened and give you the right side to add a 1/4 sheet of Whisper White Card Stock to add your sentiment, a short note and signature.
So now you have an option when you do not wish to write anything more than a signature or a solution if you want to add a sentiment and a small note when making this Special Season card. If this set will ever be available after that date has not been stated. Very few Christmas stamp sets are carried over. If you like this set, it would be best to order it before the catalog ends.
