One more Christmas Collectibles card before the sale is over

Who loves a sale? Especially a sale that will help you make some pretty quick Christmas cards? Here is an easy Christmas card idea made with the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Collectibles Stamp Set that is 30% off through December 2, 2013!

All the stamping supplies to make this easy card are listed and linked into my online store lower in the post. First, though, I’d like to point out a couple elements of this handmade Christmas card. The first is that you will find this snowflake pattern in the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper or Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack. What is especially nice about the Paper Stack is that for this card you will be able to make 48 Christmas cards from one pack for only $6.95! And still have 24 sheets of another double-sided pattern for other projects.

The sheets in the Winter Frost Designer Paper Stack measure 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″. To cut down on her prepping time, the artist cut the sheets in half at 2-1/8″. Smart move. The most time efficient method would be to cut the 6-1/2″ side down to 5-1/2″ then cut in half at 2-1/8″. The other benefit of cutting the length first is you would have 24 leftover pieces that measure 1″ x 4-1/2″. Think of all the cards you could make with those! Twenty-four come to mind. 🙂

The Season’s Greetings stamp is from the limited-edition Joy to the World Stamp Set from the 2013 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. Pretty font looking pretty stamped with Smoky Slate Classic Stampin’ Pad ink on Whisper White Card Stock.

The finishing touches of silver were added with a Basic Rhinestone Jewel in the center of the ornament. The Rhinestone Jewels are easy to use because they are self-adhesive. What a time saver that is. Can you imagine trying to get a drop of glue on the back of the smallest ones?

The ribbon is the Silver 1/8″ Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog too. I will let you in on a little secret. The silver ribbon is also in the Stampin’ Up! 2014 Occasions Catalog. We will be playing with this ribbon into June 1, 2014.

The silver ribbon may be staying around until June 1, but many other products will not be. That more than likely includes the Christmas Collectibles Stamp Set and coordinating Christmas Ornament Punch. And almost 100% positive the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper will disappear too.
