When Stampin’ Up! released the limited-edition single Christmas stamps, I immediately was drawn to the Prince of Peace Single Stamp (item #134811). There are no Christmas images on the Prince of Peace stamp, making it a great stamp for Christmas or any time of the year. This pretty card from the Founder’s Circle swap is a beautiful example of a non Christmas card with the Prince of Peace Single Stamp.

The Prince of Peace stamp was designed to coordinate perfectly with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits dies (item #130102). With the Deco Labels Framelits, the stamp can be die-cut and then have a layer or two also. The Prince of Peace is pretty stamped in Smokey Slate Classic Stampin’ Pad ink (item #131179) and layered onto Pistachio Pudding Card Stock (item #131294). If you look closely, you can see the embossing on the Pistachio Pudding layer. It was embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder (item #127821). Nice touch.
What is my favorite embellishment on this handmade card? The flowers die-cut with the Stamping Smiles Pansy Punch. Okay, it is technically the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Punch (item #130698), but you know it is just a matter of time before the name is officially changed. 🙂 At least in my head.
Before any punching, the flowers were from the Flower Shop Stamp Set (wood mount item # / clear mount item #) were stamped with Blushing Bride Classic Stampin’ Pad ink (item #131172).
The 1/8″ Silver Ribbon (#132137) has been included in the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. Looks quite nice with the Smoky Slate.
