Once upon a time many years ago in a land far away. . .  Not so far away, but it was a few years ago, Stampin’ Up! had a very cute smiley stamp set.  But, like virtually all Stampin’ Up! stamp sets, it retired.  It was been over 10 years, and in all that time Stampin’ Up! has not had another.  So what do you do if you want a smiley face stamp?  You can carve your own with the Stampin’ Up! Undefined Stamp Carving Kit.

I’d like to write that I did.  But the truth is I got a girlfriend to carve it for me.  She took the carving tool from me after watching me try to carve with the carving tool upside down (it only scratched the rubber, did not carve a thing).  Again, wish I could write it was a ploy.  That would have been clever.  It wasn’t.  It was sheer ignorance.  She did a good job, do you not agree?

Undefined Card Stamping Smiles

This is one happy card.  Is it possible to look at it and not smile?

Before I give you the list of stamping supplies to make this happy face card, I must share that as I log into the demonstrator website, I have seen some great cards made with carved stamps from the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit.  Carving my own stamps is not one of my talents.  And not one I plan on trying to develop.   I will stick to purchasing stamps that are already designed and ready for me to use. 🙂

For those they are talented and inclined to making their own unique stamps (or have a girlfriend you can con into carving them for you), there is the  Stampin’ Up! Undefined Stamp Carving Kit.   You can purchase it and the smiley face card supplies in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.

Stamping Smiles,

Order Stampin' Up! stamps and accessories!

As long as stores sell clothes, I will purchase them instead of making my own.   The same hold true with stamps.  As long as Stampin’ Up! sells their designs in rubberstamps, I will leave it to the experts.
