This clean and simple Easter card idea came from stamping the corner of an envelope for another card I made with the Stampin’ Up! Blessed Easter Stamp.   The plain envelope with the tulips stamped in one color caught my eye.  That would make a pretty card that was quick and easy to make.

Could have easily stamped directly on the Whisper White Note Card (3-1/2″ x 5″ card).  To dress up this clean and simple card, instead I stamped it on a 4-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock.

The card did evolve from the envelope from being stamped in Melon Mambo to using Pear Pizzazz, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin’ Pads ink to color in the tulips with an Aqua Painter.  Only after first stamping the tulips with the waterproof Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad ink.

Could have used Basic Black, also waterproof, but I liked the softer gray.  Which would you’d preferred?

The Easter greeting, “Wishes for a BLESSED Easter”, is part of the single Blessed Easter Stamp.   As you can see in the picture of the Blessed Easter Stamp pictured lower in the post, the greeting is quite close to the tulips.  I covered the tulips with clear tape while inking up the stamp, then the tape was removed.   The words were then the only part of the stamp with ink.  The words were then easily stamped in the center of the card.

The 4-1/2″ x 3″ Whisper White Card Stock piece was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  As I have shared many times before, adding dimension between layers is an easy way to step up a handmade card.

There are almost two weeks until Easter.  With an easy card like this, you still have time to order the Blessed Easter Stamp if you order now in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.
