What’s cardmaking with Shelly about today? It’s Regarding Dahlias. To be specific, the large dahlia stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set.
Having just made a new card with the Regarding Dahlias for my Hassle-Free Cards subscription service, I wanted to keep playing. What happened was a quick and easy card. It’s quite simple with the dahlia stamped in Soft Suede all over Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Crumb Cake and Soft Suede compliment each other well. All that was left to do was to add a greeting. Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set includes four.
After stamping “hello, you” with Soft Suede Classic Stampin’ Pad ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock, it was die-cut with the smallest of the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. The ability to stamp and then center the die around the stamped image sure makes for a lot less wasted cardstock and frustration. Framelits are awesome!
For the finishing touch we have Linen Thread wrapped around the card several times ending with a sweet little bow. Don’t you think the Linen Thread was perfect for this card? Earthy and not too fancy.
Even though this handmade card was quick and easy to make, it won’t be the first thing someone will think. It’s simple, subtle and sweet in browns.
