Just playing with my new Stampin’ Up! Corner Garden Stamp Set and Watercolor Thank You. The result is a soft and sweet handmade thank you card in Wisteria Wonder.
This card is quick and easy to make. It just took me a bit of time to get there. How could that possibly be with such a simple card? I’ll tell you. 🙂
Wanting a soft color for my flowers, I chose the beautiful Wisteria Wonder Classic Stampin’ Pad. Stamped the top of the big Corner Garden Stamp in the lower left corner. Pretty.
Wanting a large greeting, the Watercolor Thank You was a great choice. Always needing thank you cards. Stamped it in Wisteria Wonder too. Something just wasn’t right. What finally sunk in was that I really wanted was for the flowers to be even softer. Inked the stamp again in Wisteria Wonder, stamped first on my Grid Paper (technique named stamping off) and then stamped in the corner of my Whisper White Cardstock. Viola! Now my thank you was the focus with the deeper purple. I think the two were fighting for attention when stamped full strength. That simple step of stamping off was all it took for the desired look.
For a touch of glam, in the center of the flowers I dotted on some Dazzling Details. It wasn’t easy catching the glimmer in a picture. If you look to the left of the close up, you can see some shine of the fine glitter.
Soft and sweet with the ink, cardstock and polka dot paper for the butterfly all in Wisteria Wonder. If you wanted to make this same card but in a different color, I still would recommend stamping off the flowers first.
