The background was the result from designing a different card.  It was discarded for that card but laid on my stamping table.  I knew I had to use it in another Kinda Eclectic card design.

I thought the color combination came from the Color Coach.  Looking back, I find it isn’t there.  Smoky Slate is suggested in one of the color combos.  Bermuda Bay is a beautiful partner for Coastal Cabana.  The three together are retro magic.

Why retro?  It feels like something I remember seeing as a kid.  I want to say a kitchen table, but it couldn’t have been our table.  Our table had yellow.  I’ll have to ask Master Gardner Mom what I must be thinking of.

Anyway, the results made for a pretty handmade card that is quick to make.  And unlike any of the many, many samples I’ve seen using this incredibly popular stamp set.

Would you like my kinda retro Kinda Eclectic card show up in your mailbox?  It will when you place your August Stampin’ Up! order in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com!
