This was my absolute favorite Stampin’ Up! White Christmas card from the Founder’s Circle swap. Isn’t it marvelous?! You’ll love it even more as I explain how easy it is to make. 🙂
What draws your eye first? Is it the Santa in his sleigh pulled by his reindeer going across the sky? That stamp is from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Home Stamp Set. Holiday Home and White Christmas pair up well for a variety of seasonal cards. My girlfriend saw this card and commented on the Santa stamp more than once. She has the White Christmas Stamp Set already, liked Holiday Home from the start, but now just has to have it before the catalog ends on January 5, 2015.
Or did you first look at the polar bear and then up to see what he was looking at?
The soft blue sponged around the polar bear and a 3/4″ circle to make a moon, as well as, above the snowbank was with Soft Sky Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. She didn’t sponge the entire way to the top but did along the edges.
In the picture you cannot tell that she used Shimmery White Cardstock. The shimmer is subtle, yet quite elegant. Another nice feature of the Shimmery White Cardstock is that it doesn’t tend to warp as quickly as Whisper White Cardstock does when you watercolor it. There is a little watercoloring on the tree trunks and under the polar bear.
The three size stars are from the Confetti Stars Punch. Punched out of Silver Foil Sheets adds shiny touch to the shimmery card. Nice and nice.
A square card is a nice change. Folded it measures 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Perfect for the largest die from the Squares Collection Framelits Dies to leave an 1/2″ border on all four sides. That then allowed the strip of All is Calm Designer Specialty Paper add a colorful accent.
Our card artist did not stop with the front of the card, she got fancy dancy inside too.
Both the White Christmas and Holiday Home Stamp Sets have been incredibly popular from the Holiday Catalog. In the Occasions Catalog (if you’re one of my customers, watch for it in your mailbox towards the end of December), Stampin’ Up! has listed products from the Holiday Catalog that will be available after January 5, 2015. White Christmas and Holiday Home Stamp Sets are not on the list.
