Now that we’re all squared away about the urgency of ordering Ornamental Pine, let me tell you a bit about this pretty handmade Christmas card using it. Change the greeting for a fantastic winter birthday, anniversary, thank you, sympathy or thinking of you card! If you want to use this design for a masculine card, but would like to lose the ribbon, go for it! It will still be a beautiful card.
Night of Navy is the color of choice for the cardmaker. What’s fun about seeing what others do are the color choices you may not have thought of. Would you have thought of blue for pine needles? It wouldn’t have, but it certainly turned out great!
The sponging looks fantastic. She used a light touch with a Stamping Sponge and Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Pad ink on Whisper White Cardstock.
She finished off the card with Night of Navy 1/2 Seam Binding Ribbon. It’s not only pretty but also hides the adhesive holding the Window Sheet as an overlay.
If you’ve ever wondered what a monochromatic card is, this is a perfect example. Monochromatic means one color, or shades of one color. The cardstock, ink and ribbon are all the same color with Whisper White as the neutral color. Monochromatic is great technique for easy and elegant cards.
