Valentine’s Day is our next upcoming holiday for handmade cards. I had Valentine’s Day in mind when I made this handmade card with the new Stampin’ Up! You Plus Me Stamp Set. But my card does not say Happy Valentine’s Day. Couple the You + Me = Heart stamp with the Calypso Coral from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack, you also have a great anniversary card too!
The You + Me stamped image was punched out with the 2″ Circle Punch. I first layered it onto a Real Red Cardstock circle punched out with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. Decided a small red border would look even better. A Calypso Coral Cardstock circle die-cut with the Circles Collection Framelits was added in between. That was just what it needed.
Would you have ever put Real Red and Calypso Coral together? Pretty sure I wouldn’t have. Yet here they are paired quite nicely together in the Stampin’ Up! Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper. You also have Crisp Cantaloupe and Basic Black. You can see Calypso Coral, Real Red and Crisp Cantaloupe hearts scattered in this pattern. The XOXO row in Basic Black is another of the 24 patterns. As much as I love matchy-matchy, the bit of black offers a nice accent.
Did you see the sweet row of hearts along the bottom? Also part of the You Plus Me Stamp Set. The same is true of the heart scattered across the top. The same heart was stamped again in Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad ink on Whisper White Cardstock and cut out with my always-within-reach Paper Snips. The small scissors simply make it a joy to do small, detail trimming. The hearts were then added with a Stampin’ Dimensional, foam self-adhesive dot, behind each. I wish the picture showed how the little lift dressed up my card.
