While making my colorful Stampin’ Up! Balloon Bash card, I discovered a super easy solution to take the warp out of watercolored cardstock! So easy, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t think of it first! Watch to see my fix.
I was so busy showing you my tip for smoothing out watercolor warped cardstock, I didn’t tell you about the rest of my handmade birthday card with the Stampin’ Up! Balloon Bash Stamp Set from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.
The Bermuda Bay striped background paper is also from the 2015 Occasions Catalog. It’s the coordinating Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper.
The balloon was stamped with Strawberry Slush Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The Paper Snips make it easy to leave a white border when doing detail cutting like this. It probably isn’t obvious in the picture, but there are a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals (self-adhesive foam dots).
Like the star sequins? They coordinate so well because they are from the 2013-2015 In Color Sequin Assortment. Like how my balloon has stars on it too?
The finishing touch was made by wrapping Coastal Cabana Thick Baker’s Twine three times around the bottom of the card.
Now listen up if you have not yet purchased your 2013-2015 In Color Ink Pad Refills and stocked up on the cardstock and any of the In Color accessories, such as the Sequin Assortment and Thick Baker’s Twine (available in all five In Colors). The 2013-2015 In Colors are retiring with the 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. But, and this is a big but, the Retiring Stamp Sets and Accessories List will be released on April 21. Ink refills of retiring colors and then cardstock are the first accessories to sell out. Last year retiring In Color refills started selling out BEFORE the Retiring Accessories List was released.
When you order your ink refills and cardstock now in my online store, you’ll be sitting pretty and patting yourself on the back for being so smart.
