Price increases are inevitable (with one exception you’ll find further down the post). Stampin’ Up! hasn’t increased the price of their Classic Stampin’ Pads or Classic Stampin’ Refills since 2009. That’s quite some time. What the price increases will be, I will not know until tomorrow. The ink pads will be as least 30 cents higer. My guess is they will go to $7. Purely speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.
What good is speculation? Telling you now gives you a buying strategy with a little more than one month before the release of the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. You’ll know to order any Classic Stampin’ Pads or Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills you want before the prices increase on June 3. That will include the 2014-2016 In Colors.

The price will also be increasing on the extra large Stampin’ Up! punches. I could not get a list of which ones those will be, but we can assume those are the largest. 🙂 Again, I’ll know for sure tomorrow. The punches shown below I fully expect to be included? How much? My thinking is a dollar. We’ll see tomorrow how good my guessinig is. 🙂

There’s one more category that will experience a price increase. Sizzix has increased the prices of the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, cutting pads and crease pads. The Big Shot will see the largest price increase. That’ll really be the thing to purchase before the price increase and enjoy Stampin’ Rewards (free shopping dollars) when you take your order to $150 in product purchases.

How you’d like to hear about a price decrease? We must love our embossing folders so much that Stampin’ Up! was able to negotiate a price decrease! You know, I just have to say I just love that about Stampin’ Up! Just about any other company would have kept the savings for themselves. They’ve lowered prices in the past when they could, and I’m sure will again whenever they can.
