Stampin' Up! Wild About Flowers Card www.stampingsmiles.comIf you like flowers, you’re going to go wild for the new Stampin’ Up! Wild About Flowers Stamp Set! Look at how pretty my simple card is with those gorgeous two-step flowers.

If two-step is a new term for you, it just means it takes two steps (sometimes more) to finish stamping an image. I first stamped the stems with Wild Wasabi Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The flowers are a separate stamp. Next the flowers were inked with Wisteria Wonder ink and then stamped on top of the stems.

Two-step stamps are awesome. It makes it so easy to have one color for the stems and another for the flowers. You could use your Many Marvelous Markers if it were one stamp, but this is quicker. And because Wild About Flowers is a photopolymer (clear rubber) stamp set, it was so doggone easy to line up. No Stamp-a-ma-jig (stamp positioner) required. 🙂

Look what I did. You can see much better from this angle. I stamped the flowers on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock, trimmed with my Paper Snips (love those little scissors) and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. That is an easy “wow”.

And how gorgeous are those embossed butterflies?! You’re going to be even more wild about the Fluttering Embossing Folder when you read this: the embossing folder is 6″ x 6″! That means you can have embossed butterflies flying in the right direction for your portrait (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) and landscape (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″)! Or any card up to 6″ x 6″.  That had me so excited that I wanted to kiss it or the genius who thought it up.

Played with one of my new stamp sets from the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Catalog and embossing folder, next was a new accessory. That was the White Perfect Accents. I’ll admit when I first saw them in the new catalog, I thought they were nice but wasn’t going crazy like I did when the Candy Dots were introduced. They’re all . . . white. That was until I used the white, self-adhesive gems on this handmade greeting card. They added an elegant touch. The finishing touch to step it up just a bit.
