anuary Perpetual BirthdayIn yesterday’s post you saw the July page for the Stampin’ Up! Perpetual Birthday Calendar. Today we’ll go back to the beginning with January and a little story.

The printed instructions included with the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Kit are quite small. Not that we like to read directions anyway. 🙂 We rather just go to the color photos, as are provided with the card kits. Not so for every month with the calendar kit.

After carefully examining any provided samples from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog, 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Catalog and the calendar kit, I wrote the month name under each of the die-cut banners and took pictures for you. All while mumbling they should have provided better instructions or photos.

After all that, I spotted the little film strip icon on one of the catalog pictures. Stampin’ Up! made a video! Well, now that was incredibly helpful. 🙂

In the video you’ll hear names of some retired stamp pad colors were used. The pictures I have will be showing you use all current Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads to be sure everyone will have pictures to follow.

January uses Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon Classic Stampin’ Pads and the wonderful Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set. The two tones of ink splatter is from stamping twice before reinking the stamp.

One more hint before you jump in and start stamping: look at the number of lines for each page and be sure it coordinates with the actual number of days for the month you’re stamping. The directions do tell you that, if you can read them. 🙂

Perpetual Calendars make great gifts. But, don’t forget yourself! You will love it too.
