The Stampin’ Up! Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set makes it easy to make clean and simple cards that are quite attractive.
You can see just from the four stamp images why this has been such a popular stamp set. Add in the two butterfly stamps that coordinate with the Bitty Butterfly Punch and Elegant Butterfly Punch, and you’ve got one fantastic stamp set!
Earlier this week a customer asked if I thought she’d like the new Delightful Dijon from the 2015-2017 In Colors. Without hesitation, I told her she will.
When first released, we knew we’d like it for our handmade fall cards. But after putting together 10 unique Delightful Dijon color combinations for my 2015-2017 In Color Combinations e-book, it was clear this is a color that can and will be used and used often. And for much more than fall cards.
My clean and simple Kinda Eclectic card is using one of the In Color Combinations. The starburst is stamped in Blushing Bride ink. The beautiful leaves in Delightful Dijon ink. The “A little kindness goes a long way” greeting in Rich Razzleberry ink. The small circles were also stamped with Delightful Dijon. But only after stamping on a scrap piece of paper first. This provides the same color with less intensity to allow the leaves and greeting to better stand out.
Definitely not a fall card.
Were you bummed when you couldn’t order the 2015-2017 In Color Cards to add to your Color Coach? A lot of my customers and I sure were. Just looking at the two color combinations for each color could help you out of a color rut. My Color Coach was always close by. Actually surprised I didn’t wear the color off the cards for all the times it was used.
If Stampin’ Up! wasn’t going to provide us with color combinations for the new In Colors, then I would. To my racks of cardstock I went. Trying this with that. Some that sounded good were rejected. Some that sounded like they’d never work some were real winners. After a lot of mixing and matching, thumbs up, thumbs down, some oh, yucks and some oh, yeahs, what emerged was 50 unique color combinations for the 2015-2017 In Colors put together into an e-book! Ten each for Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. It’s like the In Color Cards on steroids!
