Did you order the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies in the Happy Scenes Bundle or by themselves and find they are on backorder? If so, I’m sorry. It plain and simply stinks that I cannot give you a date of when to expect them to be delivered. The backorder report now reads “Date to be Determined”.
What I do know is that Stampin’ Up! is working with the manufacturer to fill those backorders the first possible second they can. Would it have been better if they just turned off the item number so we couldn’t order them until a big shipment came in? Maybe, but probably not for a couple of reasons. One, we would miss out on the Happy Scenes Bundle savings. We love saving 15%. And, two, we would have to either wait to order the rest of the products we wanted or have place a second order just for the dies. Both of those reasons must be why they didn’t turn off the item number despite knowing they would be paying to ship them separately from the rest of our order.
Regardless, it still stinks. Especially if you were planning on using them for your Christmas cards. The latest date on the backorder report was December 1 until it was changed to “Date to be Determined”. I’m really hoping that means even earlier than first reported.
This is what I’d like to do for anyone who ordered their Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies from me that are on backorder: If you had a die-cut of window hearth/window sill, you could get your Christmas cards designed and work on the remaining part until your Thinlits are delivered. To help you get your design done, please choose up to 12 different colors you’d like to have me die-cut the windows and hearth/window sills and mail them to you.
Should you order the Hearth & Home Thinlits or Happy Scenes Bundle if you haven’t yet? Yes. The sooner you order them the sooner you will receive them. Just know if you order them today, you’ll be receiving them later.
What we don’t know yet is if they will be available after the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog ends. We’ve seen products that were not getting carried on past the current catalog go to “retired” status once the number ordered equaled the number in the final shipment.
