Make a gold glitter poinsettia decorated gift bag!

You can use the Festive Flower Punch from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog to make a gold glitter poinsettia for an elegant Christmas gift bag.

It’s easy to turn a plain white gift bag into gorgeous Christmas gift packaging with Gold Glimmer Paper (25% off through Monday!) and the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper. And, of course, the Festive Flower Punch.

Directions:

1. Punch nine of the large petals, four of the small and two double flower petals out of Gold Glimmer Paper with the Festive Flower Builder Punch. Punch three large petals and two cross centers out of Black Glimmer Paper with the Festive Flower Punch. Punch Basic Basic Black Cardstock with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.

2. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the tip of the three Black Glimmer Paper petals to the Basic Black Cardstock circle.

3. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere five of the Gold Glimmer Paper petals to the Basic Black Cardstock circle, as shown.

4. Adhere the remaining large petals with Stampin’ Dimensionals. You need the lift between the layers to distinguish one layer from the next. 5. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the four small petals, followed by the double leaves on top. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the two Black Glimmer Paper crosses.

5. Score 8-1/2″ x 11″ Basic Black Cardstock in half at 5-1/2″ along 11″ side. Place on your Stampin’ Trimmer at 5-1/2″ with the scored line on the cutting track. Place cutting blade at 2″ and cut to 6″ to cut a slit. That will create a gift bag with handles bag topper.

6. Use Fast Fuse Adhesive to adhere 8-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ gold pine cone/black pine needles patterned paper from the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper to one side of Basic Black Cardstock gift bag topper. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere Gold Glimmer Paper poinsettia to left side of bag topper.

7. Use Fast Fuse Adhesive to adhere 7-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ gold striped patterned paper from the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper to 8″ x 5-3/4″ Basic Black Cardstock. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere to front on white gift bag, flush with the bottom. Slip the bag topper over the handles. You should be able to easily purchase plain white gift bags with handles at your local discount store. If not, or you prefer the ease of online shopping, I found a Baker’s Dozen (13) for only $11.69 on Amazon.
