This is one very elegant Valentine's Day card!

The flourish stamp included in the Stampin’ Up! First Sight Stamp Set was used to create a border for one very elegant Valentine’s Day card!

The flourish stamp reminds me of baby’s breath, light and airy. Look how pretty it is stamped with Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock.

The title for my handmade card reads Valentine’s Day card. Although, I believe this design could easily be used for other occasions too. Just as it is it could also be used for an anniversary card.

A friend’s daughter is getting married in June. We’ve been discussing wedding invitations. Her colors are soft pink and rustic. The wedding will be in a barn with bales of straw for the seats and decorated with baby’s breath. The names printed in a beautiful script and the wedding date would easily fit into the oval. How lovely it would look!

My plan it to make one just like this for my Mother’s Day card but, instead, use the greeting “I have love you, MOTHER, since I opened my eyes” that is included in the First Sight Stamp Set.

The first time I stamped the Whisper White Cardstock die-cut oval with the flourish in Pink Pirouette Classic Stampin’ Pad ink, I filled the entire oval. The second time I stopped after only stamping the flourish once, leaving some white space at the bottom. In this case, less was definitely more.

Pink Pirouette 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon provided a soft, pink bow that underscores the greeting.

The finishing touch was adding sweet, little hearts in the same soft Pink Pirouette peppered throughout the flourishes and one in the oval. They were easy to make with the Hearts Border Punch.

The First Sight Stamp Set is one of stamp sets from the fantastic 2016 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. Most of the stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog will be available only through May 31.
