Swimmingly cute Seaside Shore card idea

Ocean or lakeside cards are especially popular in the summer. While enduring this especially hot and humid summer, I think almost everyone wishes they were at a beach. Here’s a swimmingly cute Seaside Shore card idea for all of us – the wishers and the doers.

Four patterns from the By the Shore Designer Series Paper were used on this cute handmade greeting card. The seashells on Dapper Denim cover most of the front of the card, vanilla coral on Calypso Coral along the bottom and a thin strip of stripes dividing the coral and the starfish in blue water.

If you’re familiar with the By the Shore Designer Series Paper, you might be thinking “There isn’t any starfish in blue water paper.” You’re right. There isn’t. Until the Very Vanilla paper met up with a Sponge Brayer loaded with Soft Sky Classic Stampin’ Pad ink.

Altering the By the Shore Designer Paper didn’t end there. How about some waves? Those were added by running the brayered pattern paper through my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine in the Seaside Embossing Folder.
