Say "Get Well Soon" with a Get Well Soup Card

You can’t very easily send a bowl of chicken noodle soup through the mail, but you can send this easy-to-make get well card with the Stampin’ Up! Get Well Soup Stamp.

Your under the weather friend, family member or co-worker will read “get well soon” in the steam of the chicken noodle soup with this hand stamped get well card. This steam probably won’t open up the sinuses, but her chapped lips will smile.

The bowl of soup and steam were embossed on Vellum Cardstock with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then used the technique named stained glass. On the opposite side of the embossing, you color in the image. When you turn it over, the color showing through reminds you of a stained glass window. The color of the bowl is intense because it was filled in with a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker, adding another layer of Melon Mambo ink over the first layer and then again. What is so fabulous about the stained glass technique is you don’t see marker lines from the front.

The soup is filled in with So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker. More intense than you’d expect with a subtle color. The trick was layering the color, as with the Melon Mambo for the bowl.
